The product has the following technical characteristics: 
    1. OpenSource project under the GPL, designed entirely to work under Linux;

Microinvestwill develop the product, taking into account changes in commercial Windows versions, while guaranteeing 100% database compatibility. This allows data to be exported to accounting systems and the use of existing resources to date. 

Working under Linux allows users to choose the operating system themselves, install it and work with free Linux distributions, i.e. consumers do not have to pay license taxes. Microinvest warehouse software is also free and works without registration codes. In accordance with the license offered by the OpenSource GPL, users can legally use the free MySQL server and Open Office.

Developed several ways to install and configure the product. In order to effectively use the product and reduce installation difficulties, we recommend that you follow the installation diagrams below. 

The main way:

    1. Download the latest version of Microinvest Warehouse Open from the site. 
    2. From the Mono project pageneed to download the latest version of Mono. It is advisable not to use the package system, but to use a monolithic installer for all Linux distributions (All Linux Installer x86). Mono version must be at least 1.2.4.4. 
    3. You should install the latest version of MySQL server and MySQL Administrator. This installation can be done from the MySQL site or using distribution packages. 
    4. The product is launched and configured for the MySQL server. 

Alternative method:

    1. Download the latest version of Microinvest Warehouse Open from the site . 
    2. From the package manager of your Linux distribution, install Mono .
    3. From the package manager of your Linux distribution, install gtk-shark2, version not lower than 2.4. Recommended 2.8. 
    4. Again, from the package manager of your Linux distribution, install the MySQL server and MySQL Administrator. 
    5. The product is launched and configured for the MySQL server. 

The presented installation methods have been tested. They work for the following distributions: Mandriva Free 2006, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu.
